In brief: Park eateries change hours of operation

RIVERFRONT/Manito – The Boulevard Bistro in Riverfront Park will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. until Tuesday. From Wednesday through Sept. 13, the bistro’s hours will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The bistro will close for the season on Sept. 13.

The Park Bench Café in Manito Park will close for the season on Sept. 20. The café is currently open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Beginning Tuesday through Sept. 20, the café’s hours will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Teen council seeks new members

SPOKANE COUNTY – The Chase Youth Commission’s Teen Advisory Council is seeking new members for the 2009-’10 academic year. A fall launch meeting was Tuesday at Spokane City Hall.

TAC gives youths a voice and a chance to make a difference in the community. TAC works with the Chase Youth Commission to bring youth issues to the attention of local government and provide a communication link to schools.

Work out with Zumba fitness

EAST CENTRAL – Zumba Fitness, just one of Spokane Parks and Recreation’s fall classes, will begin on Wednesday at the East Central Community Center, 500 S. Stone St., from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Zumba combines Latin rhythms and aerobic moves.

No registration is necessary.
