Car flies into house following party
Tue., Sept. 8, 2009
WESTHAMPTON BEACH, N.Y. – Police arrested a 20-year-old party host on charges of serving alcohol to an underage guest who later crashed his airborne Jeep into the second floor of a New York home.
Hunter Wootten was arrested Monday on a charge of unlawfully dealing with a child.
Police say 20-year-old Adam Clark attended Wootten’s party before taking a speed bump so fast his Jeep vaulted into the air and into the house. No one was seriously hurt.
The vehicle ripped a hole in the side of the house and fell into a foyer, landing with its headlights pointing skyward.
Clark apologized for the wreck at his arraignment Saturday on drunken driving and other charges.
