Many schools schedule information nights

Now that all the greater Spokane Valley school districts are back in session it’s time for many schools to host back to school information nights. Parents can meet teachers, tour the schools and learn about each school’s programs.

The following schools are having back to school nights this week.

•Bowdish Middle School, 2109 S. Skipworth Road, 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday.

•Central Valley High School, 821 S. Sullivan Road, 6 p.m. Monday. Refreshments will be served.

•Liberty Junior High, 29818 S. N. Pine Creek Road in Spangle, 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

•Orchard Center Elementary, 7519 E. Buckeye Ave., 6:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday.

•Skyview Elementary, 16924 E. Wellesley Ave., 6-7:15 p.m. Thursday.

•Seth Woodard Elementary, 7401 E. Mission Ave., sessions from 6:30-6:50 p.m. and 6:50-7:10 p.m. Thursday.

Curriculum nights

Liberty Lake Elementary is inviting parents to come to the school this week to learn more about what their children will be taught this year.

Each grade level will meet on a different night at 7 p.m. Fourth-grade is on Monday, fifth-grade on Tuesday and second-grade parents will meet Wednesday. The session for parents of first-graders is set for Sept. 22, also at 7 p.m. The school is at 23606 E. Boone Ave. Call (509) 228-4300 for more information.

Band fundraiser

Central Valley High School band and color guard students will host a car wash fundraiser today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the school parking lot, 821 S. Sullivan Road. The cost is $5 per vehicle.
