Bible study, MOPS new at Foothills church

Foothills Community Church is launching new programs and new worship formats for the fall.

The church is now offering the Awana youth Bible study program for kids age 3 through the sixth grade. The groups will meet every Wednesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Also new is a Mothers of Preschoolers group that will meet the first Tuesday of each month from 9 to 11:15 a.m.

The new worship service format will begin Sunday. The 8 a.m. service will include hymns led by the choir. The 11 a.m. service will include music by the worship team and band. The schedule also includes Sunday school for all ages at 9:45 a.m. Junior Church for those age 3 through the third grade will be held during the last half of the 11 a.m. service.

New schedules

Christ Lutheran Church, 13009 E. Broadway Ave., will make changes to its 10:30 a.m. worship service beginning Sunday. The contemporary service will be led by music director Kenny Bartimioli and feature professional musicians. The early service at 8:15 a.m. will remain unchanged.

Valley Assembly of God Church has resumed its fall worship schedule. A traditional service begins at 9:15 a.m. and a contemporary service starts at 10:45 a.m. the church is at 15618 E. Broadway Ave.

Hymn sing

Everyone is invited to a community Hymn Sing Sunday from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Berean Bible Church, 10910 E. Boone Ave.
