‘No’ vote meaningful
We can be excused perhaps from reading the massive health care bill, but not Tuesday’s H.R. 744 which simply states: “Resolved: That the House of Representatives disapproves of the behavior of the Representative from South Carolina, Mr. Wilson, during the joint session of Congress held on September 9, 2009.”
To their credit, seven members of Mr. Wilson’s own party agreed, but sadly none of these were from Washington state. This embarrasses me. Unless told otherwise, I’ll assume that our own Rep. McMorris Rodgers fully approves of such behavior among her peers.
