‘Scary’ tag was unfair

The Spokesman-Review

Casey Jones (Letters, Sept. 22) said he heard people say that this year’s Spokane County Interstate Fair was “very scary.”

Were the seven little baby pigs that I saw, only one day old, scary? Were the 3- and 4-year-old little kids that rode the sheep scary? Were the kids riding the bungee cords having so much fun scary? Was the hypnotist that gave us all so many laughs scary? Were all the friendly people that shared their tables when we ate scary? Were all the beautiful flowers so perfectly arranged scary? How about all the beautiful quilts and craft items, such talents, were they scary?

I didn’t see any scary people when I went to the fair twice this year. I’ve been going to the fair for about 45 years and have never been disappointed.
