T. rex mascot part of Rammell rallies

The Spokesman-Review
BOISE – Idaho GOP gubernatorial hopeful Rex Rammell is headed to North Idaho with a giant, inflatable green Tyrannosaurus rex, which he’s displaying on a trailer behind his campaign RV. “We need a tough governor to stand up to the feds,” Rammell said. “T. rex represents toughness – he’s got some teeth. That’s me. I kinda like that image.” He’ll display the inflatable dinosaur at 10th Amendment rallies in Coeur d’Alene, Sandpoint, Bonners Ferry and St. Maries over the next week. Rammell is among four Republicans challenging Gov. Butch Otter in the primary; the others are Ada County Commissioner Sharon Ullman, amateur comedian Ron “Pete” Peterson and Tamara Wells of Post Falls. Coeur d’Alene’s rally will be in City Park on Saturday from 4:30 to 7 p.m.
