Spokane Valley bicyclist injured in hit-and-run

Spokane Valley police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck a bicyclist early Sunday near the intersection of Sprague Avenue and Dearborn Street.

The bicyclist, a 42-year-old man, appeared to have been run over or perhaps dragged along the street. He is hospitalized in critical condition, according to a press release.

The driver remains at large. Police are searching for a small red car, likely with front end, hood and perhaps windshield damage.
