Murder-suicide victims identified as Chattaroy couple

A man and woman found dead Friday in what detectives believe is a murder-suicide have been identified as Warren A. Fugitt, 78, and Harriet A. Fugitt, 72.

The couple died of gunshot wounds to the chest, the Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office said today.

Their bodies were discovered in a manufactured home in the 3100 block of East Chattaroy Road after an out-of-state relative called the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office about 9:50 a.m. Friday and asked that someone check on the couple, sheriff’s officials said.

The sheriff’s office has not said who pulled the trigger.
