Rosalia woman dies from traffic injuries

A Rosalia woman has died from injuries suffered in a traffic accident on an icy U.S. Highway 195 near Spangle on Wednesday afternoon. Rebecca D. Coon, 32, was taken to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center and died there following the 3 p.m. accident four miles south of Spangle at Davis Road. She was headed south in her 2003 Kia Sedona when she collided with a 2008 Chevrolet pickup driven by Ryan D. Nauer, 33, of Orting, Wa. He was not injured. Coon crossed over into the northbound lane and collided with the pickup, according to Washington State Patrol troopers, who said Coon was going too fast for the icy conditions. A passenger in the pickup, Jason A. Olson, of Spokane, was injured and taken to Providence Sacred Heart.
