Healthy Heart Powwow – Event sponsored by the NATIVE Project of Spokane and Title VII Indian Education/Spokane Public Schools is held to promote cultural heritage and traditions, healthy living, diabetes prevention, heart health and more. Event will feature a healthy living booth offering free health information and blood pressure screens and checks along with information about HIV testing, sports physicals, mammograms, H1N1 flu vaccinations, vision screenings, wellness programs and depression screens. “Parenting With Power, Persistence and Patience” – Held each Tuesday and Thursday, 6-8 pm. at North Central High School, 1600 N. Howard St. Classes are free, no registration is required.
