“Be Comfortable in Your Genes” – Second annual fashion show and silent auction presented by Inland Northwest Coalition on Eating Disorders features models of all shapes and sizes to promote positive body image. Free On-Site Immunizations – The Spokane Regional Health District, in partnership with Group Health Foundation, is offering free immunizations for students during the month of March. Clinics are: March 4, 1-6 p.m. at Centennial Middle School, 915 N. Ella Road, Spokane Valley; March 5, 1-6 p.m., at Ness Elementary School, 9612 E. Cataldo Ave., Spokane Valley; March 16, 3-6 p.m., at Farwell Elementary School, 13005 N. Crestline St.; March 18, 3-6 p.m., at Shiloh Hills Elementary School, 505 E. Stonewall Ave.; March 23, 1-6 p.m., at Madison Elementary School, 319 W. Nebraska Ave.; and March 24, 1-6 p.m., at Arlington Elementary School, 6363 N. “Food, Inc.” – A documentary film that claims to lift the veil on the nation’s food industry, exposing what it calls the highly mechanized underbelly that has been hidden from the American consumer with the consent of the government’s regulatory agencies, USDA and FDA. The nation’s food supply, it says, is now controlled by a handful of corporations that often put profit ahead of consumer health, the livelihood of the American farmer, the safety of workers and the environment.
