St. Mary’s offers fish on Lenten Fridays

Those who abstain from meat on Fridays during Lent can stop by St. Mary’s Catholic Church each week for a Lenten Fish Fry. The menu of baked or fried fish, french fries, clam chowder, coleslaw, rolls and garlic bread will be served Fridays from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. through March 26.

The weekly meal is hosted by the church’s Knights of Columbus. Donations will be accepted at the door.

The church will follow each meal with the Stations of the Cross at 7 p.m. The church is at Fourth Avenue and Adams Road.

Community breakfast

Opportunity Presbyterian Church will begin hosting a regular free community breakfast for its low-income neighbors on Sunday after the 10:30 a.m. worship service. The meal will be offered for the community every other Sunday at the church, 202 N. Pines Road. Call 924-9750 for more information.
