Eagles still unbeaten in Big Sky

Brianne Ryan hit 7 of 10 shots from the floor and scored a game-high 18 points, Julie Piper snared a game-high 13 rebounds and Nicole Scott chipped in with 10 points, six boards and three blocked shots to lead the Big Sky Conference front-running Eastern Washington Eagles to a 51-49 win over the Northern Colorado Bears on Saturday in Greeley, Colo.

The Eagles (11-6, 5-0) pulled out the win by dominating the boards, outrebounding the Bears 47-26. That helped offset a 23-12 disadvantage in the turnover department. Northern Colorado (9-9, 2-3) outscored Eastern 20-7 in points off turnovers.

California 75, Washington State 68: Alexis Gray-Lawson poured in a game-high 29 points and Gennifer Brandon added 12 points and seven rebounds to lead the Bears (8-8, 2-3) to a Pac-10 victory over the Cougars (5-12, 0-6) in Berkeley, Calif.

April Cook scored 16 to top the Cougars. KiKi Moore chipped in 13 points and a career-high eight assists. Moore became the sixth freshman in school history to record eight or more assists in a game.

Stanford 66, Washington 51: Nnemkadi Ogwumike had 20 points and 13 rebounds and the second-ranked Cardinal (15-1, 5-0) cruised to a Pac-10 win over the Huskies (8-8, 3-3) for their 38th straight victory at Stanford, Calif.

Kayla Pedersen added 14 points and five assists for Stanford.

Christina Rozier scored 13 to lead Washington.

Idaho 84, Boise State 81 (OT): Yinka Olorunnife scored 25 points and snagged 10 rebounds and the Vandals (3-13, 1-2) outscored the visiting Broncos 11-8 in overtime to earn their first Western Athletic Conference victory of the season.

Bianca Cheever and Rachele Kloke both had 18 points and Shaena-Lyn Kuehu and Charlotte Otero scored 11 and 10, respectively for Idaho.

Janie Bos had game highs of 29 points and 11 rebounds for the Broncos (11-6, 0-3).

Pacific Lutheran 57, Whitworth 55: Reserve Jordan Westering scored six of her 11 points in the final 2:12 of the game, including a 3-pointer to snap a 53-all tie with 1:38 left, to lift the Lutes (5-10, 3-3) over the Pirates (6-9, 2-4) in Northwest Conference action in Tacoma.

Leah Pomante scored 12 to pace the Whits, while Natalie Orrell added 10 points. Cassie Pilkinton grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.

North Idaho 75, Eastern Utah 50: Kama Griffitts hit five 3-pointers on her way to a game-high 24 points, pulled down six rebounds and handed out seven assists to power the Cardinals (18-2, 9-2) to a Scenic West Athletic Conference win over the visiting Golden Eagles (6-14, 2-8).

Tugce Canitez notched a double-double for NIC – 13 points, 10 rebounds.

Kalie Robison had 23 points and 11 rebounds to lead Eastern Utah.

Yakima Valley 76, CC Spokane 66: Anna Marchbanks tallied 24 points and 10 rebounds and Kate Urquhart added 13 points and 12 rebounds to propel the Yaks (11-4, 3-0) to a win over the Sasquatch (9-5, 1-2) in Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges play at Spokane CC.

Brooke Randall hit six 3-pointers en route to a game-high 25 points for CCS. Meghan Eisenmann added 17 points, four rebounds and four assists.
