Low-cost Heart Health Screenings – Kootenai Heart Center offers individual appointments 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays in February. Participants receive a blood pressure check, learn their body mass index and get the results of an on-the-spot lipid profile which determines total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides and glucose levels. Moscow Food Co-op Essential Wellness Classes – Being Well uses a combination of interactive learning, inventory questions and centering techniques to help participants gain insight to their overall health. Saturday, 10 a.m.-noon. Nourishing Meditations for Busy People covers techniques that can be done anywhere, anytime to develop your peak potential and boost productivity while melting stress away. Saturday, 1-3:30 p.m. The Clean Sweep helps participants take stock of areas in their lives where they can improve (health, finances, relationships and living spaces) and create a plan for success.
