UCLA tops Oregon State

Reeves Nelson finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds and UCLA used a late 12-2 run to pull away from Oregon State for a 62-52 victory Saturday night at Corvallis, Ore.

Nikola Dragovic added 13 points and Michael Roll had 11 for the Bruins (10-11, 5-4), who rebounded from Thursday’s loss at Oregon.

Calvin Haynes had a game-high 16 points for the Beavers (9-12, 3-6), and Roeland Schaftenaar added 11.

UCLA led 38-35 before going on a 12-2 run that gave it a 50-37 lead with 4:57 to play.

Oregon 67, USC 57: Jeremy Jacob scored a career-high 19 points and Malcolm Armstead added 18 points to lead the Ducks (12-9, 4-5) past the Trojans (12-9, 4-5) at Eugene, Ore.

The Ducks outscored the Trojans 20-10 in the final 5:09 after USC rallied from a nine-point deficit to tie the game at 47.

Tajuan Porter gave Oregon the lead with a driving layup, and after a missed 3-pointer by USC’s Nikola Vucevic, the Trojans’ bench was whistled for a technical foul. Porter made both foul shots to make it 51-47, and Oregon was off on a 15-2 run.

Arizona State 88, Stanford 70: Ty Abbott scored 29 points and had a career-high 12 rebounds as the Sun Devils (15-7, 5-4) defeated the Cardinal (10-11, 4-5) at Tempe, Ariz.
