A fire reported before noon today is under control, leaving the structure with minor smoke damage, a Spokane fire spokesman said.

Fire crews responded to a South Hill Blockbuster where flames were seen within the building, the spokesman said.

Firefighters had to chop through the roof to reach the flames. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The Blockbuster is at 2501 E. 29th Ave., at the intersection with Southeast Boulevard.
