Idaho unemployment rate posts modest decline

Associated Press
BOISE — The state Department of Labor says the unemployment rate posted a decline for the third month in a row, falling to 9 percent as Idaho employers took on more workers. Department Senior Analyst Eduardo Silva says the dip was modest, but also shows the unemployment rate has continued on a downward trend after more than two years of increases. Idaho employers hired nearly 10 percent more workers last month, compared to May 2009. There were still more than 68,000 Idaho workers without jobs last month.
