Don’t be misled

The Spokesman-Review

The brouhaha over the “health care” bill is a smoke screen for the true intent of that measure. That intent is to limit and control Social Security and Medicare.

Our senators tell us they are fighting for senior benefits, while voting for the use of the “death calculator.” In the future, government bureaucrats (not your doctor) will evaluate all treatments for major health problems to determine the best usage of money – should it be spent on an 80-year-old (with a life expectancy of five more years) or a 70-year-old with 15 years of additional life expectancy? Guess who gets cancer treatment at 80?

Seniors will remember this scenario next November when they vote.
