Man hurt in crash along river

A Kellogg man was in satisfactory condition Tuesday following a one-vehicle rollover accident on Coeur d’Alene River Road.

Jerrod L. Baugh, 27, was taken to Shoshone Medical Center in Kellogg and then moved to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane , according to the Idaho State Police.

He was traveling north on the river road at milepost 1 about 4 a.m. Tuesday when he failed to negotiate a curve to the left. His 2004 Dodge pickup went off the east side of the road into a rock embankment. That caused it to dig into the dirt and overturn.

Baugh was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. Alcohol is being investigated as a factor in the crash, police said.
