Man knifed at transient encampment

By From Staff Reports

A 47-year-old man was cut on the throat Monday evening in a drunken dispute at a Spokane Valley transient camp.

The victim was taken to Valley Hospital and Medical Center, where he was treated and released, said Sgt. Dave Reagan, Spokane Valley police spokesman.

Arrested and booked into the Spokane County Jail on a charge of first-degree assault was Michael R. Bullock, 37.

Bullock was living in a camp in a wooded area north of Interstate 90 and Indiana Avenue when a fight broke out and a knife was pulled. Another transient called for help on a cell phone, Reagan said.
