SEATTLE — The list of nine candidates for the job of Seattle police chief is being narrowed to three finalists. KOMO Radio reports the selection panel is sending its recommendation Tuesday evening to Mayor Mike McGinn for his decision. Among the nine candidates being considered is Spokane Police Chief Anne Kirkpatrick and three current members of the Seattle Police Department. The mayor has said their prospects are not affected by the controversy over officers beating a robbery suspect, which was caught on video.
