Christ Lutheran to offer summer Sunday school

Christ Lutheran Church is doing something a bit different this year: offering summer Sunday school beginning Sunday.

The classes will begin at 9:30 a.m. each week, between the 8:15 and 10:30 a.m. worship services. They are designed for ages 3-11, but middle school children and parents also may attend. Each session will last 45 minutes and will include singing, games, crafts and Bible readings.

Each week’s lesson will have a theme and be tied to a specific Bible verse. Sunday’s theme is Adam and Eve and the reference is Genesis 3.

The church is at 13009 E. Broadway Ave. For more information, call the church office at (509) 928-7733.

Fun day

A family fun day will be held Sunday after the 10:30 a.m. worship service at the Veradale United Church of Christ, 611 N. Progress Road. All are invited for a Mexican potluck, games for children and other activities. Those who would like to help plant flowers in the church garden are welcome.

Youth service

The youth of Spokane Valley United Methodist Church will host a special combined worship service at 10 a.m. Sunday. The church is at 115 N. Raymond Road.
