Motorcyclist from Othello dies in crash

A 20-year-old Othello man died Monday after he drove his motorcycle in front of a semi truck in rural Adams County.

Shane A. Kinder died at the scene of the accident on McManamon Road just over a mile west of Morgan Lake Road about 5 p.m.

The semi driver was identified as Ricardo Sarmiento-Rosales, 33, of Moses Lake. He was headed east when the collision occurred. Kinder was westbound.

The driver of a second motorcycle driving separately from Kinder was injured when he crashed into debris. Favian Gomez, 19, of Othello, suffered minor injuries, authorities said.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the accident.
