In brief: Couple honored by dance council

SPOKANE COUNTY – Ed and Sharon Perrigo, of Spokane, recently received the 2010 Hall of Fame award from the Spokane Area Council of Square and Folk Dancers.

The couple have been members of several area dance groups and served these groups as officers. In 1989 they joined the Dancing Shadows. They have organized the club campout for seven years; and have been a trustee to the Western Dance Association for four years.

The Perrigos have attended eight Washington State Square Dance festivals.

Girl Scouts plan holiday tea

SPOKANE VALLEY – The Girl Scout Troop 2678 will celebrate the holidays with a “Christmas Tea, Dec. 12 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Intersection Church, 905 N. McDonald Road.

The event is also a benefit for Toys for Tots.

Tickets are $7 in advance and $10 on the day of the tea.
