Hawaii handles New Mexico State

Alex Green rushed for a school record 327 yards and three touchdowns, Bryant Moniz threw four touchdown passes and Hawaii beat New Mexico State 59-24 on Saturday in Las Cruces, N.M.

Greg Salas caught 10 passes for 191 yards and a TD for the Warriors (9-3, 7-1). Hawaii is in a three-way tie for first place with Boise State and Nevada.

Andrew Manley threw for 135 yards in New Mexico State’s (2-10, 1-7) finale.

Louisiana Tech 45, San Jose State 38: At San Jose, Calif., Lennon Creer rushed for a career-high 252 yards and three touchdowns, and Phillip Livas tied a NCAA record with his eighth kick return for a touchdown, an 88-yard punt return that led the Bulldogs (5-6, 4-3) over the Spartans (1-11, 0-7).

San Jose State quarterback Jordan La Secla’s had a career-high 496 yards and five touchdown passes.
