Hi-Tec footwear moving headquarters to Oregon

PORTLAND – Outdoor footwear company Hi-Tec is moving its U.S. corporate headquarters from Modesto, Calif., to Portland by the end of the year.
The company plans to make an announcement today.
A dozen employees, mostly in administration, will make the initial move. The company’s U.S. shipping and distribution will remain in Modesto.
The privately held company had sales of about $250 million in 2009.
