ncumbent state schools superintendent Tom Luna touts his business background. Challenger
Stan Olson is running on his 40-year career in education. The
job isn’t so easily pigeonholed. And it is decidedly political. A
successful superintendent must be able to navigate a treacherous
landscape, during some of the toughest budget times in state history. A
successful superintendent must be able to balance the interests of every
group that has a stake in our school system — and a stake in the future
of 278,000 Idaho students. By both measures, Luna earns our endorsement/
