Retirement funds stolen
If the government – both parties – paid back all the money that they’ve borrowed from the Social Security fund, it would be hale and hearty. Seniors who’ve paid into this fund all of their working lives and who now are retired and drawing on the funds that were supposed to be invested for us so it would grow, have grounds for a huge class-action lawsuit to get our funds repaid into Social Security.
Does anyone know a good lawyer or law firm who’d be brave enough to take on the government for us? The government owes the fund trillions of dollars since beginning this “borrowing” fiasco.
They never intended to repay that money. That’s theft. They steal from us again by not giving us the COLA raises because they claim there’s no discernible inflation. Where do they live if they can’t see inflation? We haven’t seen gas prices below $2 a gallon for three years. Yet, they’ve been up to over $4 a gallon. That’s inflation.
Voting the bums out is only a part of the answer for seniors. Making the government repay our funds, with interest, would go a long way to make Social Security healthy.
