Spokane Chiefs romp 11-1

REGINA — Levko Koper had two goals and four assists to help the Spokane Chiefs light up the Regina Pats 11-1 in Western Hockey League play Saturday night. Tyler Johnson scored twice and added two assists for Spokane (6-7-0), while Marek Kalus had a pair of goals and an assist. Anthony Bardaro added a single and an assist. Jared Cowen, Cole Hamblin, Mike Aviani and Collin Valcourt all chipped in as well. Dominick Uher, Brenden Kichton and Garrett Leedahl had two assists each. Dyson Stevenson was the lone scorer for Regina (5-8-2), his first of the year. After scoring two in the first, Spokane broke it open the game wide open with five-straight goals in the second. The outburst spelled the end of the night for Regina goalie Damien Ketlo but backup Dawson Guhle didn’t fare much better. In the third Spokane struck for four more, capped off by Koper’s sixth point of the night, a nifty short-handed goal. Earning the win while facing just 18 shots was James Reid.
