Child ID kit offered free

From Staff Reports

Slack and Combs Orthodontics, of Spokane, will host an event today to help families prepare if a child goes missing.

Parents can obtain a biometric fingerprint profile, digital color photo, child safety journal and DNA identification kit for each child. The products are free and provided by DNA LifePrint, a Florida company.

Parents keep all of the information, and no copies are kept by the event sponsor or provided to law enforcement. If a child disappears, parents can provide the information to police or the FBI to aid in the search.

The event will be from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Slack and Combs is at 605 E. Holland, No. 217.
