Highway 41 near Spirit Lake reopened after accident

Both directions of Highway 41 near Spirit Lake were blocked for several hours as police cleared an accident involving an overturned commercial tractor-trailer. Carl J. Martin, 60, was southbound in the tractor-trailer about 2:46 p.m. when his load, 47,000 pounds of landscape bark, shifted, and the trailer were sheared from the tractor, according to Idaho State Police. Both the tractor and trailer overturned and the trailer came to rest against a guardrail in the northbound lanes. No injuries were reported in the accident, but the road was been blocked for more than four hours;
