Zumba-thon for Relay for Life – Two-hour Zumba fitness party benefits the local American Cancer Society Chapter and is a fundraiser for Heart and Sole, Relay for Life Spokane Team. Cost is $10. Senior Circle “Lunch and Learn”: Joint Health and Restoration – For anyone age 50 and older. Mingle with friends, have lunch and listen to an informative health talk. Child Birth Education Classes – Prenatal class is a free one-time class for those trying to conceive or in their first trimester. Class is noon-1 p.m. the second Monday of each month and 5-6 p.m. the fourth Wednesday of each month. Reservations are requested. Valley Hospital and Medical Center, 12606 E. Prepared Child Birth Classes – Six-week, 12-hour course is for those already pregnant and covers topics including prenatal care, nutrition, stages of labor, pain management, breathing, cesarean birth, post-delivery care, infant CPR, newborn care and lactation. Classes are held 7-9 p.m. on Mondays or Tuesdays, or in a condensed eight-hour format on select Saturdays. Cost is $60 per person/couple, preregistration is required.
