Lilac court finalists vie for scholarships

The Spokane Lilac Festival has announced its Fabulous 14 selected to compete to become part of the 2012 Spokane Lilac Festival Royal Court.

The girls were selected from 30 high schools from throughout Spokane County. They will receive leadership training and compete for scholarships at the coronation ceremony, Jan. 29 at 3:30 p.m. in the Spokane Masonic Center, 1108 W. Riverside Ave.

The finalists are Jasmin Hallam, Rogers; Briony Denker, Gonzaga Prep; Alyssa Mayfield, Medical Lake; Madison McHenry-Kroetsch, North Central; Madelaine Reid, Lewis and Clark; Bethany Anne Hand, Mt. Spokane; Hannah Allen, University; Hailey Ann Murray, West Valley; Sydnee Scofield, Central Valley; Linnea Kessler, Cheney; Sarah Letsch, Shadle; Julia Vogelsang, Northwest Christian; Katie Sweeney, Mead; Alexis Schwartz, Ferris.
