Vandals slip past Spartans

SAN JOSE, Calif. – Deremy Geiger scored 17 points, helping Idaho extend its winning streak to three games with a 73-64 victory over San Jose State on Saturday night.

Jeff Ledbetter scored seven of his 13 points in the final 4:33 as five players reached double figures for the Vandals (9-6, 3-1 WAC), who also won their third straight on the road. Luiz Toledo also had 13 points to go with nine rebounds. Kyle Barone and Shawn Henderson each scored 11 points.

It was the first time since Idaho’s season-opening victory over Eastern Oregon the team has had as many players reach double figures.

Adrian Oliver scored 25 points for the Spartans (8-7, 0-4 WAC). Justin Graham added 12 points and had nine assists.
