Government dings mileage

I recently drove to Montana. I filled up my fuel-conserving Toyota in Idaho (because it’s cheaper). On my trip over, my car used three-quarters of a tank of ethanol-added gas. Not that great.

On the trip back to Spokane, I filled up in Montana with ethanol-free premium. My car only used a little over one-quarter of a tank. Big difference.

The car ran great, got better mileage, and now our government wants to change that to 15 percent ethanol instead of 10 percent. I feel the EPA needs to get out of our lives in this instance. Pay more for even worse gas mileage and higher food prices.

This is just wrong. Let’s get a clue, people. Less government, we need it now.
