Dads get free ride this weekend on ROW rafting trips

RIVER RUNNING — Here’s a last-minute deal dad will like better than a wet kiss.

ROW Adventures is offering a Father’s Day weekend special:  bring two people at the regular rate and Dad goes free! Bring four people and  Mom or grandpa can go free, too.

Read on for the river choices — whitewater or not-so-whitewater:

Spokane River Whitewater : Rafting trip through Riverside State Park.  An exciting half day of fun running the Bowl & Pitcher and Devil’s Toenail rapids along with beautiful scenery.

  • Saturday: Two whitewater departures (9:30 am & 2 pm)
  • Sunday: One whitewater departure (2 pm)

Spokane River Float Trip : Good introduction to rafting for ages 12 and up.

  • Sunday: One float trip departure (9:30 am)

Moyie River : Two hours north of Spokane and Coeur d’Alene, this is a full-day trip near continuous class III whitewater.  The trip passes through a thick cedar forest in a roadless canyon.

  • Sunday: One full day trip starting from Moyie Sprigns, Idaho, at 9: am


Lochsa River : 3.5 hours southeast of Spokane and CdA, the thunderous Lochsa is best suited for those with previous rafting experience.  Numerous class IV rapids with raft-bashing holes and waves!   Meet at River Dance Lodge, Syringa, Idaho.

  • Sunday: One full day trip starting at 9 am
