Liquor revenues or taxes?

I don’t drink, but I am against Initiative 1183. In my opinion, this is just another example of a bunch of fat cats getting together to make a profit at the expense of the consumer/taxpayer.

Ask yourself this question: Does the state make a profit from the state liquor stores? If the answer is no, then the state should get out of the booze business. My guess, however, is that the state does make a profit from the sale of booze, or they would have dumped the business long ago.

So if the state makes money from the liquor stores and loses this source of revenue, will Olympia cut back on spending to compensate for this loss? In your dreams!

Again, I am only guessing, but I will bet that the state will raise other taxes and fees to make up for this lose income.

The only people that will profit from the passage of I-1183 will be big business. Vote no on I-1183.
