Nevada edges Fresno State for 15th straight home win

Cody Fajardo passed for 313 yards and a touchdown and ran for 61 yards and another score as Nevada held off the Fresno State Bulldogs for a 45-38 win Saturday afternoon in Western Athletic Conference play at Reno, Nev.

Fajardo’s 23-yard touchdown run with 2:15 left in the game proved to be the winner as Nevada (4-3, 2-0 in conference) claimed sole possession of first place in the WAC.

Derek Carr passed for 315 yards and three touchdowns and Robbie Rouse ran for 167 yards and two touchdowns for Fresno State (3-5, 2-1).

The Wolf Pack, who have won 15 consecutive home games, also got 198 yards rushing and a touchdown from running back Mike Ball.

Louisiana Tech 24, Utah State 17: Backup quarterback Colby Cameron led the Bulldogs (3-4, 2-1) to 10 fourth-quarter points in a win over the Aggies (2-5, 0-2) at Logan, Utah.
