Reardan’s streak ends at 33 wins

In a rematch of last year’s State 2B girls basketball title game, it was Brewster that came out on top, ending Reardan’s 33-game winning streak dating back to the 2010-11 season.

The host Bears had four players score in double figures and they went on to beat Reardan 69-66 in a nonleague game Friday.

Kelsey Moos scored 37 points and grabbed nine rebounds for Reardan (2-1). Katy Burge added 12 rebounds.

Reardan beat Brewster 65-57 in the title game last spring.

Colfax 47, St. George’s 28: Nicole Sheer scored 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds and Amelie Bruya added 11 points and six steals as the Bulldogs (4-0, 2-0) beat the visiting Dragons (0-4, 0-1). Alex Wert led St. George’s with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Springdale 57, Davenport 49: The Chargers (3-1, 1-0) forced 32 turnovers and beat the visiting Gorillas (1-3, 0-1). Skyla Hall and Spring Hamilton scored 10 points each for Springdale. Natalee Hayes scored 12 and Allie Johnson and Sidney Cole added 10 apiece for Davenport.

Northwest Christian 71, Liberty 11: Chanel Knight made 5 of 8 3-pointers and finished with 21 points as the Crusaders (3-0, 1-0) overwhelmed the visiting Lancers (1-3, 0-1). Hannah Dietzen scored 16, Courtney Gray added 11 and Treasure Farmer dished out seven assists for Northwest Christian, which led 30-2 after the first quarter.

Northeast 1B North

Cusick 47, Inchelium 33: The Panthers (2-0, 1-0) got out to a quick start and eased past the host Hornets (0-2, 0-1). Olivia Williams led Inchelium with 13 points.

Southeast 1B

St. John-Endicott 71, Pomeroy 37: Devan Bafus led three players in double figures with 17 points as the Eagles (1-1, 1-0) jumped ahead early and coasted past the visiting Pirates (0-2, 0-2). Gretchen VanLith added 16 points and Emiley Jones chipped in 11 for St. John-Endicott.

Torrie Koller scored a team-high 15 points for Pomeroy.

Tekoa-Oakesdale 63, LaCrosse-Washtucna 9: Kim Groom scored 18 points, Alex Overton added 16 and Olivia Pakootas contributed 15 as the Nighthawks (2-0, 1-0) overwhelmed the visiting Tigercats (0-2, 0-1).

Nonleague

Coeur d’Alene 49, Chiawana 35: Sydney Williams scored 15 points and Caelyn Orlandi added 13 as the Vikings (6-1) took control in the first half and beat the visitors from Pasco. Coeur d’Alene limited Chiawana to four second-quarter points and led by nine points at the half.

Kennewick 46, Lake City 39: Ashley Kump scored 13 point and the Lions came alive in the second quarter and held on to beat the visiting Timberwolves. Hailey Jackson and Madi Farrell scored 11 points apiece for Lake City (4-4).

Post Falls 60, Richland 42: Hallie Gennett scored 17 points and Lexi Smith added 15 points, seven assists and five rebounds as the Trojans (7-0) topped the visiting Bombers.

Pendleton 63, Sandpoint 57: Pendleton made 20 of 29 free throws and edged the visiting Bulldogs (4-4).

Hailey Olin had 22 points, seven rebounds and five assists to lead Sandpoint.

Lewiston 66, Pullman 48: Karlee Wilson scored 24 points and the Bengals (4-2) used a quick start to get past the host Greyhounds (1-2). Lewiston outscored Pullman 26-11 in the first quarter.

East Valley 48, Timberlake 17: Alex Rankin led a balanced attack with 11 points as the Knights (2-2) routed the host Tigers (1-4). East Valley outscored Timberlake 18-2 in the third quarter and led by 33 heading into the fourth. Jessica Norlander tallied a team-high 10 points for the Tigers.

Medical Lake 35, Deer Park 31: Sabrina Earle scored 14 points and the Cardinals (3-1) held on to beat the host Stags (0-4). Savannah Sitton led Deer Park with 11 points.

Priest River 44, Riverside 34: Melissa Trost scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Spartans (3-4) past the visiting Rams (3-1). Steffie Pavey hit four 3-pointers and finished with 15 points for Priest River, which outscored Riverside 14-3 in the opening quarter.

Courtney Davis led the Rams with 17 points.

Columbia (Hunters) 60, Curlew 47: Elizabeth Larew scored 23 points as the Lions (1-1) gained control from the get-go and beat the host Cougars (2-3). Laura Williams added 10 points for Columbia, which led by 16 points at halftime. Lindsey Gibson and Haleigh Gibson combined for 30 points for Curlew.

Republic 61, St. Michael’s 13: Brieanna Brown had 15 points, nine rebounds and six steals to lead the Tigers (3-0) past the visiting Warriors (0-3).

Savannah Bowe added 12 points, four assists and four steals for Republic, which outscored St. Michael’s 32-2 in the second half.

Columbia (Burbank) 55, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 46: Rachel Roberts tossed in a game-high 13 points to lead Columbia past the host Broncos (0-1). Maya Wahl and Jenna Bennett combined for 22 points for Lind-Ritzville/Sprague.

Odessa-Harrington 46, Soap Lake 38: Jordyn Tanke had 13 points, nine rebounds, seven steals and four assists for the Titans (1-2), who pulled away in the second half to beat the host Eagles.

Freshman Katie DeWulf added six points, six boards and two steals for Odessa-Harrington.
