SUV hits motorcyclist in downtown Spokane

A crash between an SUV and motorcyclist on Riverside Avenue and Post Street caused some congestion for STA buses and other traffic and sent the motorcyclist to a hospital. The motorcyclist was transported by ambulance with non life-threatening injuries. Firefighters treating him at the scene believe he had a broken leg. Spokane police cited the unidentified SUV driver for failure to yield. Police say the motorcyclist was eastbound on Riverside when he was hit by the other driver, who was westbound on Riverside and turning left onto southbound Post Street.
