Oregon State ends long losing streak to UCLA
Jared Cunningham had 21 points and Devon Collier 20 as Oregon State pulled away in the second half to defeat UCLA 87-84 Thursday night at Corvallis, Ore.
Angus Brandt added 13 points and five assists for the Beavers (12-7, 2-5 Pac-12), who ended a 13-game losing streak to the Bruins dating to 2005.
Lazeric Jones had 17 points and eight assists for UCLA (10-8, 3-3). David Wear and Travis Wear added 16 points each, and Jerime Anderson had 11 points and nine assists.
Oregon 65, USC 62: Garrett Sim scored 20 points and the Ducks (14-5, 5-2) made five 3-pointers in the second half to hold off the Trojans (5-14, 0-6) at Eugene, Ore.
Devoe Joseph added 16 points and Olu Ashaolu had 11 for the Ducks, who have won three straight and are off to their best start since going 18-1 in 2006-07.
Colorado 69, Arizona State 54: Andre Roberson and Spencer Dinwiddie each scored 12 points and the Buffaloes (12-6, 4-2) downed the Sun Devils (6-12, 2-4) at Boulder, Colo.
Sun Devils leading scorer Trent Lockett (13.9 ppg) was held out after spraining his right ankle in last week’s victory over Oregon State.
Arizona 77, Utah 51: Kyle Fogg and Kevin Parrom each had 12 points to overcome the ejection of Solomon Hill and the Wildcats (12-6, 3-2) whipped the Utes (4-14, 1-5) at Salt Lake City.
Nick Johnson had 11 points and Josiah Turner had 10 points as the Wildcats made 12 of 24 from 3-point range and buried the depleted Utes.
