Age 81

WILHITE, Maurice C. “Morrie”
(Age 81)

Of Spokane, passed away on Thursday, June 28, at Pullman Regional Hospital surrounded by his family.

Morrie was born September 20, 1930, to Helen (Peters) and George Wilhite of Spokane, Washington.

After graduating from North Central High School, Maurice joined the U.S. Navy, served in the Korean War, and was active in the Air National Guard for 20 years.

He also worked as a welder building grain elevators throughout the Northwest.

He was an outdoorsman, a pilot, and a kind, loving father and friend.

Morrie will be dearly missed by his five children, Mike Wilhite (Portland, OR), Mitch Wilhite (Spokane, WA), Mark Wilhite (Seattle, WA), Maurice Kelly Wilhite (Portland, OR), Kate Wilhite (Pullman, WA); his former wife and friend, Mickie Wilhite (Spokane, WA); his four grandchildren, Sara, Jake, Alex, and Anne; and daughters-in-law Donna Wilhite (Portland, OR), Janine Wilhite (Seattle, WA).

Our family would like to thank the staff at Bella Vista Adult Family Home, in Pullman, WA for the wonderful care they provided our dad.

There will be a private memorial held later with family members.
