(Age 92)

Emojane passed away on July 13, 2012.

She was born in Spokane, Washington on April 19, 1920 to Frank and Emojane Haywood.

She graduated from Rogers High School and spent her career as a bank teller and working for the Social Security office.

Emojane was preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, William “Bud” Simpson, in 1993 and her baby daughter, Mary.

She is survived by her son, John Simpson (Kathy) of Priest River, Idaho and her daughter, Kathy Aartsen (Willem) of Hillsboro, Oregon.

She was a devoted Oma to her grandchildren, Erik (Lisie) Aartsen, Jenny Kate Aartsen, Lisa (Ian) Berg and step granddaughter, Kyanne Simpson.

She also leaves her four great-grandchildren, Pieter, Finn, Gretta and Blake and many nieces and nephews.

Emojane will be remembered for her wonderful smile and loving heart.

A Rosary Service will be held Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 7pm at Hazen & Jaeger Valley Funeral Home, 1306 N. Pines, Spokane Valley, WA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, July 20, 2012 at 11am at St. John Vianney Church, 503 N. Walnut Rd., Spokane Valley, WA.

Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
