Heritage church holding yard sale
The Heritage Congregational Church has sold its building at 1801 E. 29th Ave. and the congregation will be holding a yard sale Saturday and Sunday.
The church will sell such items as a drum set, piano, furniture, a refrigerator, a freezer, stoves, microwaves, glass hostess sets, dishes and kitchenware, toys, changing tables, high chairs and play pens Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 3 p.m.
Heritage’s senior pastor, the Rev. Robert C. Christian, 61, was arrested and released May 4 on misdemeanor charges of indecent exposure. Christian was a volunteer chaplain for the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office before his arrest.
His trial is set for July 26 according to Deputy Spokane Prosecutor Brian O’Brien.
The congregation does not yet have a new location.
