In brief: Kalispel Tribe history presented Saturday at MAC

BROWNE’S ADDITION – Author Jane Fritz along with Francis Cullooyah will present “The Camas Path: History of the Kalispel Tribe of Indians” at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Museum of Arts and Culture, 2316 W. First Ave., in the Gilkey Room.

Fritz is the author of “Legendary Lake Pend Oreille.” Cullooyah is the Kalispel Tribe’s cultural director.

The presentation will explore the history and culture of the Kalispel people. It is funded in part by a grant from the Idaho Humanities Council.

Police group to host community meeting

EAST CENTRAL – The Spokane Police Accountability and Reform Coalition will have a community meeting Wednesday at the East Central Community Center, 500 S. Stone St., from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The meeting is an opportunity for residents to discuss issues concerning the coalition, to share concerns, to learn of new developments and how to help.
