Schools were closed across the state of Washington on Monday, but officials were able to finalize times and sites for most quarterfinal football games in the region.

In 4A, Mead (10-1) and Gonzaga Prep (10-1) both play Saturday afternoon. G-Prep plays host to Bellarmine Prep (10-1) at either 1 or 2 p.m. while Mead will travel to Auburn (9-2) for a 3 o’clock kickoff.

The exact time for G-Prep’s game couldn’t be firmed up because Bellarmine Prep officials want to gauge student interest today in taking a rooter bus to Spokane, G-Prep athletic director Paul Manfred said.

Manfred said the game will be played at 2 if Bellarmine Prep brings a rooter bus and 1 if the Tacoma school does not.

In 3A, University (7-4) stays at home and takes on North Thurston (9-2) at 4.

In 2B, Waitsburg-Prescott (9-1) takes on Reardan (8-2) on Saturday at West Valley. Kickoff is at 1.

Lind-Ritzville/Sprague (10-0) and DeSales (9-1) play Saturday evening at G-Prep. Kickoff is at either 5:30 or 6:30 depending on when G-Prep’s game is played.

In 1B, Cusick (11-0) meets Touchet (8-2) Friday at G-Prep, beginning at 7.

• In Idaho, two-time defending 5A state champ Coeur d’Alene (9-2) travels to Pocatello for a second straight week, taking on No. 1-ranked Madison (11-0) Friday.

Kickoff is at 5 PST.
