Obituary: Yamamoto, Carol Ann (Kemp)

Age 74

YAMAMOTO, Carol Ann (Kemp) Carol Ann (Kemp) Yamamoto passed away November 21, 2012.

She is survived by her three sons: Richard, Ronald and Russell Yamamoto; eight grandchildren: Nicholas (Richard), RJ, Ryan, Ryder, Brooklynn (Ronald), Kyra, Keanu, Kailer (Russell) and one great grandchild, Haylee (RJ).

She is also survived by three sisters: Lorraine, Marie and Janine and two brothers: Larry and Bill.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Neva Kemp; and two sisters: Donna and Louise.

Carol was born March 19, 1938 in Conconully WA then moved to Spokane where she grew up and graduated from Rogers High school.

She then married Richard Yamamoto.

Carol worked at Beef and Bird, Murphy Brothers, Keith’s Music and retired from Columbia Lighting.

Over the years she was greatly involved and served on committees for the Torchlight Parade, Lilac Festival and the Red Hat Society.

She also drove her ‘60 Buick in the St. Paddy’s Day Parade every year.

She graciously opened up her home to foreign exchange students who affectionately called her “mom.”

Visitation will be Thursday and Friday, November 29 and 30 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.at the funeral home.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 1, at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

To celebrate Carol’s life all her family and friends are invited to a reception after the service.
