WALKER, Maxine Lila
(Age 90)

Born December 12, 1921 in Kendrick, ID to James W. and Mae (Riley) Jarman.

She died peacefully at Holy Family Hospital October 2, 2012.

She lived in Spokane most of her life, graduating from Rogers High School in 1939.

She married Robert W. Walker July 11, 1940.

She worked for 40 years as a housekeeper.

Maxine enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, baking cookies at Christmas and for a short time she and her husband raised champion Boston Terriers and tropical fish.

She collected elephant figurines, of which she had a huge collection.
Maxine is survived by her loving sons, Robert Gene “Colonel” and wife Bonnie Walker, Michael Wayne “Rocky” and wife Sue Walker; daughter-in-law, Amber Haase; half brother, Glenn Tollett; half sister, Dorothy Morris; grandchildren, Robert, Scott, Ronda, Joe, Michael, Ryan and Ashley Walker, Stephanie Bowman and Cammie Kubas all of Spokane, Britt Peasley of Lake Stevens, WA and Shontay Walker of San Diego, CA; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 2001; her son, Cecil Justin “Skeeter” in July 2012; grandson, Brandon Walker in 2012; her parents; sister, Dorothee Miller-Oas; brother, Richard and five of his children, who died in a tragic house fire; her brother, Clyde in amotorcycle accident at age 22 and her half brother, Robert.

Maxine was very much loved by all who knew her and she will be missed greatly, but will be in our hearts forever.

Visitation will be Saturday 8-5PM at Heritage and the Funeral Service 10:30AM Monday October 8, 2012 at Heritage Chapel.
