Opportunity church offers tours, dinner and concert
Opportunity Presbyterian Church will host a community banquet next Saturday, offering tours of the church, a four-course dinner and a concert.
Tours of the building at 202 N. Pines Road, known for its copper steeple, will begin at 4 p.m. Dinner prepared by the Shogun Restaurant will be served at 6 p.m. The 7 p.m. concert will feature the Celtic Nots, a Spokane-based acoustic band.
The cost of the dinner is $15. The tours and concert are free. Those planning to attend the dinner are asked to RSVP by calling the church office at (509) 924-9750.
Love and Logic
The Spokane Valley United Methodist Church will host three Love and Logic parenting classes in October and November. The classes will be held next Saturday, Oct. 27 and Nov. 10. Sessions will begin at 9 a.m. and be done by noon.
Anyone interested in receiving a Love and Logic certificate must attend all three classes. The church is at 115 N. Raymond Road.

Bingo
The Knights of Columbus of St. Mary’s Catholic Church will offer an Oktoberfest bingo night beginning at 6:30 p.m. next Saturday at the church, 304 S. Adams Road. There will be drinks, snacks, sausages and hot dogs available for purchase. The first bingo game will start at 7:15 p.m.

Blessing of the Pets
The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, 15319 E. Eighth Ave., will offer a pet blessing at its 8 and 10 a.m. worship services Sunday. Make sure all pets are appropriately leashed and/or caged.
